Jim DiMenna, CEO of Red Sun Farms, started selling produce door to door at the age of ten. Today, Red Sun Farms is one of the largest greenhouse vegetable operations in North America, with more than 600 acres. As a teen, Jim worked his way from the packing room to a position in sales before starting his own firm in 1990. Jim founded J-D Marketing, a brokerage buying fruits and vegetables. When the industry called for better direct-line connections between the retailer and grower, Jim formed a group of local growers and Jem D International was born. In 2008, Jem D International merged with Agricola, and rebranded as Red Sun Farms.
