Jason Tetro is a microbiologist with over 25 years’ experience in research, funded by national and international agencies and has numerous peer-reviewed publications, chapters, reports and other knowledge translation activities.

In public, Jason is better known as The Germ Guy™. In 2007, he ventured out of the lab and into the media studio doing a Question and Answer news segment on the Canadian Television Network as The Germ Guy. He has since written for national and international newspapers and magazines including The Toronto Star and Scientific American. He currently writes for The Huffington Post Canada and is a freelance contributor for other national and international media outlets.

His new book, The Germ Code (Random House/Doubleday Canada) will be out in Fall 2013. This trade paperback will build a foundation for our at times fraught relationship with germs and how we can live in co-existence rather than war and fear.
